On the
Frecciarossa, Frecciargento and Frecciabianca trains, there are
different price levels for the Base ticket. The number of seats
available for each price level is limited and subject to change,
according to the day of the week, the train in question and the class or
type of service. At the time of purchase, the system will offer the
best available price for each class or type of service. Children over 4
and under 15 may avail of the children's discount (50% off the base
price available at the time of sale, in all classes and levels of
service for seats, or 30% for couchettes, sleeping cars and Excelsior
services).
This ticket is non-transferable. Once on the train, you will be required to show a valid form of personal identification upon request by on-board personnel.
Booking changes: permitted
- Up to the departure time of the booked train: an unlimited number of times.
- After the train has departed: only once, up to one hour following departure.
Ticket changes: permitted, but passengers will be required to pay any difference in price that results from their selected change.
- Up to the departure time of the booked train: an unlimited number of times.
- After your booked train has departed: only once, up to one hour following departure
Boarding another train: for the same route, it is possible to board another train of the same category by contacting train personnel prior to boarding and paying a penalty fare of €10 per passenger:
- from one hour prior to and up to one hour after the departure of the booked train;
- even after this time limit, if there is no other train of the same type, you may take the next suitable train to arrive at your original destination from the same or a lower category.
For a change of class or service or if boarding a train from a different category for the same route, once again within the same time limit stated above, the price difference between the full price for the train/service used and the amount already paid, plus the penalty fare of 10 per passenger, must be paid. Ticketless ticket holders are not permitted to board Regional trains and international service trains (except for Italy-Switzerland trains for domestic routes): if passengers are found travelling on these trains, they shall be considered to be without tickets and will be required to pay the applicable penalty fare.
Refunds: passengers may request a refund, up to the departure time of the booked train, subject to a 20% deduction to the original purchase price.
Refunds are not permitted after the departure time of your train.

Changes to booking/ticket:up

this service is permitted free of charge, an unlimited number of times
from the day of issue until the departure of the booked train. After

Boarding trains other than the train you have booked is not permitted.

This discount is reserved for Carta Verde
cardholders, and it involves a 10% discount on all national trains
including sleeping cars and couchettes, (Executive service level and
Excelsior carriages are excluded) and a 25% discount on certain
international connections (reduced-price tickets for international
trains can only be purchased at ticket offices and authorised travel
agencies). The terms and conditions for the Base ticket apply, with the
exception of changes to passenger name, which, in this case, are not
permitted. This ticket is non-transferable; on board the train, in
addition to your train ticket, you will be required to show your Carta
Verde and a valid form of personal identification to identify yourself
as the cardholder.

CARTA SILVER DISCOUNT
This discount is reserved for Carta Argento
cardholders, and it involves a 15% discount on the regular price for
national trains, a 10% discount on sleeping cars and couchettes
(Executive service level and Excelsior carriages are excluded) and a 25%
discount on certain international connections (reduced-price tickets
for international trains can only be purchased at ticket offices and
authorised travel agencies).
The terms and conditions for the Base
ticket apply, with the exception of changes to passenger name, which, in
this case, are not permitted.
This ticket is non-transferable; on
board the train, in addition to your train ticket, you will be required

This offer is reserved for Carta Blu cardholders.
This card allows the cardholder to purchase a single ticket at the full
price for their preferred train, which is valid for the

conditions for the Base ticket apply, with the exception of changes to
passenger name of the cardholder, which, in this case, are not
permitted.
AV (high-speed) Executive service level and Excelsior carriages are excluded from these reductions.
This ticket is non-transferable; on board the train, in addition to
your train ticket, you will be required to show your Carta Blu card and a
valid form of personal identification to identify yourself as the
cardholder, as well as a form of personal identification for your
travelling companion.
NON-FS RIGHT TO BOARD
This offer is reserved for CLC (Freedom to Travel
Card) cardholders, and other similar 1st and 2nd class tickets, which
grants them permission to board Frecciarossa, Frecciargento,
Frecciabianca, IC and ICN trains. Executive service level is excluded
(should passengers enter these service levels, they shall be considered
to be without a ticket).
The terms and conditions of the Base ticket
apply. This ticket is non-transferable; on board the train, in addition
to the ticket demonstrating their right to board, passengers are
required to show their CLC (Freedom to Travel Card), or another similar
ticket, and a valid form of personal identification to identify the
cardholder, without which the passenger shall be considered to be
without a ticket.

RIGHT TO BOARD FOR FS PERSONNEL
Reserved for FS staff members, either in active
service or retired, and their family members, who are holders of Smart
Cards, CLC FS or other similar tickets, which grants them permission to
board Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca, IC and ICN trains.
Executive and 1st Business service levels are excluded (should
passengers enter these service levels, they shall be considered to be
without a ticket).
This ticket is non-transferable; on board the train, in addition to the
train ticket, passengers are required to show their CLC FS or Smart
Card or another similar ticket. For CLCs (Freedom to Travel Cards)
without photos, a valid form of personal identification must also be
shown.
SPECIAL CONCESSION III FOR SOLITARY JOURNEYS
This offer is reserved for holders of Concession III (visually impaired) in possession of a Mod. 28/C card, travelling alone.
It grants Mod. 28/C cardholders a 20% discount on the Ordinary fare
(for IC, ICN, Frecciabianca, AV (high-speed) Frecciarossa and
Frecciargento trains or for couchette and sleeping car services, a
full-price change of service charge is due).
Executive service level and Excelsior carriages are excluded from these discounts.
For all tickets issued with this concession, the terms and conditions
for the Base ticket apply, with the exception of the changes to
passenger name, which, in this case, are not permitted.
This ticket

will be required to show your Mod. 28/C card and a valid form of

SPECIAL CONCESSION III WITH TRAVELLING COMPANION
This offer is reserved for holders of Concession III
(visually impaired) in possession of a Mod. 28/C card, travelling with a
companion. This offer provides the Mod. 28/C cardholder with a ticket
for their preferred train that is valid for two people. In case of use
on Frecciabianca, AV Frecciarossa and Frecciargento or couchette or
sleeping car services, a single ticket shall be issued, which is valid
for two passengers, the amount of which shall be equal to the price of
the requested service, plus a full-price change of service charge.
Executive service level and Excelsior carriages are excluded from these discounts.
For all tickets issued with this concession, the terms and conditions
for the Base ticket apply, with the exception of the changes to the
passenger name of the concession cardholder, which, in this case, are
not permitted.
This ticket is non-transferable; on board the train,
in addition to your ticket, you will be required to show your Mod. 28/C
card and a valid form of personal identification for both the concession
cardholder and their travelling companion.
SPECIAL CONCESSION VIII 30% SOLITARY JOURNEYS
This offer is reserved for holders of Concession
VIII (war-wounded and disabled veterans and ex-service personnel) in
possession of a travel booklet: model I (no. 36), model I bis (no. 37)
or model I ter (no. 38) and model nos. 39 and 40, who are travelling
alone.
It grants severely disabled individuals in possession of a
model I ter (no. 38) travel booklet a 30% discount on the Ordinary fare
(for IC, ICN, Frecciabianca, AV (high-speed) Frecciarossa and
Frecciargento trains, or, for couchette and sleeping car services, an
additional full-price change of service charge is due).
It
grants disabled individuals belonging to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th
categories, in possession of model nos. 39 or 40 travel booklets a 10%
discount on the price at the Ordinary National fare (for Frecciarossa,
Frecciargento, Frecciabianca, Intercity, Intercity Notte trains, or, for
couchette and sleeping car services, an additional full-price change of
service charge is due). Executive service level and Excelsior carriages
are excluded from these discounts.
For all tickets issued with
this concession, the terms and conditions for the Base ticket apply,

This ticket is non-transferable; on board
the train, in addition to your ticket, you will be required to show the
specific document issued by the Government Administration with whom you
are a member and a valid form of personal identification for the
concession holder.
SPECIAL CONCESSION VIII WITH TRAVELLING COMPANION
This offer is reserved for holders of Concession VIII (war-wounded and disabled veterans and ex-service personnel) in possession of a travel booklet: model I (no. 36) or model I bis (no. 37), who are travelling with a companion. It grants the concession holder a 30% discount on the Ordinary fare and a ticket that is valid for two people. Should you choose to travel on:
- IC - ICN trains, a single ticket will be issued, which is valid for two passengers, the amount of which is equal to a journey with an Ordinary fare that has been discounted 30%, plus a full-price change of service charge.
- Frecciabianca, AV (high-speed) Frecciarossa and Frecciargento and couchette and sleeping car services, a single ticket will be issued, which is valid for two passengers, the amount of which is equal to one journey with an Ordinary fare that has been discounted 30%, plus two full-price change of service charges. Executive service level and Excelsior carriages are excluded from these discounts.
On board the train, in addition to your ticket, you will be required to show the specific document issued by the Government Administration with whom you are a member and a valid form of personal identification for both the concession holder and their travelling companion.

The SNAV Link service
is an intermodal service in collaboration with SNAV ships that provides a
combined offer with a ticket for a national train service
(Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca, Intercity or ICN) or
regional service, with departure or arrival station in one of the
stations that directly serve or connect with the city of Naples, in all
classes and service levels, travelling to specific coastal destinations
operated by SNAV (Naples-Islands in the Gulf).
The SNAV Link
special offer can be purchased at Trenitalia ticket offices, Self
Service machines, authorised travel agencies, on this website and via
the Trenitalia app, up to midnight on the second day before departure;
passengers will be issued with:
- a ticket for a national or regional train with departure or arrival station in one of the stations that directly serve or connect with the city of Naples, issued according to the applicable sales offers available for the category, class or service level chosen by the customer;
- a ticket for the ship issued based on the offer called SNAV SPECIAL.
Booking changes: Permitted for national train services, according to the rules established for the type of ticket purchased, and only up to midnight on the second day before departure, for a new purchase provided it respects the time limits in place for ticket sales prior to departure date.
Not permitted for regional train services.
Booking changes for SNAV tickets are only possible if permitted by the originally purchased Trenitalia offer and the same rules and regulations as the purchased offer apply.

For Italy - Switzerland - Frankfurt trains: this fare can be purchased

for return journeys for voters residing in Italy, with a 60% discount
on regional fares (39) and regional fares with inter-regional use
(39/AS), and 70% on the Base price for national train services (FR, FA,
FB, IC and ICN). This discount does not apply to 1st class, in
Executive, Business and Premium service levels, or to sleeping car
services, Excelsior carriages and private compartments. Tickets with the
voters discount can be purchased at Trenitalia ticket offices and from
authorised travel agencies. For national elections involving the whole
of Italy, tickets with the voters discount can also be purchased on
digital channels (the website and Trenitalia app), with the exception of
TTPER, TRENORD and FSE voters fare tickets and Italian Elector fare

The Senior Insieme
Special offer allows customers to purchase one-way tickets at a discount
ranging from 30% to 70% for groups of 3 - 5 people over 60 years of age
travelling together on Frecciarossa, Frecciargento and Frecciabianca
trains, in 1st and 2nd class, in Business, Premium and Standard service
levels. Tickets can be purchased up to midnight on the day before the
departure of your selected train. This offer is non-cumulative and may
not be used in conjunction with any other discount or offer.
This ticket is non-transferable.
To be issued with a ticket, you are required to enter your CartaFRECCIA
personal code into the sales system, which will automatically verify if
you are entitled to the offer. Once on the train, you will be required
to show a valid form of personal identification upon request by
on-board personnel, as well as the CartaFRECCIA card (definitive or
temporary) used to make your purchase, in either printed form or digital
format (via smartphone or another device).
Number of seats available: limited

question, the class or service level and the number of passengers in the

Should the ticket be used on a different date or on a train other than

Should a passenger fail to present their
CartaFRECCIA card and/or ID, or if in possession of a ticket with a
